Welcome back, thanks for following along with another time saving and thought provoking article.
Today, we’re going to talk about a subject that Tammy wrote in about, Containers in Sports. I have to admit, didn’t know about this one, but many sporting organizations are using containers as temporary storage for their club / league storage.
Having been a soccer coach when my son was younger, I know first hand the challenges sporting organizations go through in protecting and ensuring availability of their sporting equipment. From soccer balls to clothing (the little yellow vests used in training) to cones to soccer goals; for some reason, there is an element of our society that finds great pleasure in “removing” this shared equipment that means coaches and kids have to lug great bags of equipment around in the trunks of their cars. Not convenient, especially if the coach or person with equipment is late or tied up.
So, simple solution, portable storage.
Containers have been placed at field locations with pad locks. Now, during my research, I have seen some organizations use the old fashion type, rotary dial, and just give the coaches and assistance the combination. works well, haven’t seen any real complaints.
However, this is the 21st century, we now have cool, smart locks, Bluetooth locks, locks that know your coming, locks that send notification when they are opened. This is the age of cool locks. So, fitting these cool locks to containers just makes a great idea, fantastic.
The best part of a container at a sports field is when the season is over, a single call and they are all gone, unless ice rinks are laid down, then leave the container, store hockey equipment in there. There are so many uses for secure, portable storage these days.
